Folded Book from 2 Sheets of 12x12 Papers!

Last Friday a lovely lady called Bren (Bren47 on Ustream)showed us how to make a book from 2 12x12 sheets of paper, so I had to have a go! Bren used double beautiful sided paper, I just couldn't bear to 'try out' book in patterned paper (let alone double sided) so I chose to make it in black, it turned out pretty good! So I decided to cut into my Graphics 45 The Magic of Oz papers! Above is the front cover, all cards pull out for photos or journaling!
The ruby slippers are glittered, all edges are edged in black soot,
 Lots of fussy cutting!
 More cards to use!
 Last page, more fussy cutting,
 Back cover.
I have also been making this book, the papers are My Minds Eye, Halloween, Tims die cut, leaves are Memory Box, all the flowers I made, lace down the side wraps around the spine of the book, the ribbons are attached to the lace, the bottle, pumpkin and doll I made.
I can't show inside because the front is still wet! But I made it for the tags I made with the stamps from My Minds Eye.
Thanks for looking!

Tags with my New Stamps

My new stamps from My Minds Eye arrived on Saturday so as soon as possible I had to play!
All were stamped with Ranger Archival in black, these two were coloured using distress inks.
These two were coloured in pro-markers.
The Top one was double stamped first in white then in archival.
The bottom one was coloured in pro-markers, the bottles were glazed.

Finished at Last!

I started this box ages ago! It has had it's edges painted in Distress crackle paint then the box was covered inside and out with paper (which I think is 7 Gypsies Conservatory paper?)
The butterflies are glossy accented.
The knob is one of the ones I found at the car boot on Sunday to which I added a piece of butterfly paper and some glossy accents!

Sundays Car Boot Finds.

I fell in love with this stamp set as soon as I saw it! It is a pre-decimal shop stamp set in a wooden box with all the upper and lower case alphabet and numbers and shop related words like bargain, each, per quarter etc!
I also got some hand made Bedfordshire lace (which just happens to be where I was born) all beautiful!
 Two rusty keys!
Some printers blocks, not a full set but never mind!
Some hexagonal knobs (which I have an idea for already)!
And this sweet little shelf/drawers Which I forgot to take a before photo of before I attacked it!
It is now painted duck egg blue.
With paper on the drawer fronts,
and on the top!
I cant wait til it is up on the wall holding all my little tools that I seem to put down and loose so now they will have a place!

Talking About Those Little Inches!

I was talking to Joyce (Moonrose) and lots of other lovely ladies about inches last night and what we did with them, well here is a few of mine!
My tin of starter inches is above!
A card.
This canvas was inspired by someone in Somerset Studio a good few years ago I am sorry but I can't remember who or what issue but it was great fun to do and one of my first 'messy' art pieces I ever did!
Another canvas (these are so high up on a shelf I couldn't get them down and I dare not climb to get them), the bird house and the photo album have inches on too!
I used to belong to an inchie swap group, we would swap 4 every month I made this little book to keep them in.

This is the inside of the book the 'pages' are folded acetate (I wanted to see who had sent them to me).
So that is a small collection of some of my inchies!
Thanks for looking!
(Don't know what happened to that picture not being lined up with the others, couldn't make it go back so it is staying where it is!)

My Re-vamped Room

My Blog is 4 Years Old Today!
Happy Birthday Lulabelles Place!

Two weekends ago Hubs made my desk deeper as I only had about a six inch square to play in! So now I have so much more room to mess up! As you can see it is not completely tidy but I got a little distracted! The layout of the desk is basically the same as before as it worked well for me.
When there is nothing in the space that should be clear there is now room for my paper trimmer to fit properly when I need it!
This is the Welsh Dresser to the right, all the jars have little finds in them (buttons, flowers, charms.eyelets etc) it also holds some of the things I have made. The white basket is 3 tiered and holds all my sorted out (wound onto card or if too small in bags) ribbons and lace.
Around the corner is a trolley with my CD/DVD player, on the wall is my printers tray which I am trying to fill with small art pieces, my postcard from Dyan Reavely and my All About You from Dede, (which I have to confess is not in a frame at the moment cos it had a little accident and now needs a new one) thank goodness it didn't get harmed!
Other side of the door is more storage and cupboards,
 with more boxes on top!
next is more, turn the corner and there is the window (which I have no photo for as my battery ran out)
Under the window is another trolley with dies in boxes and two baskets of bits (bits of paper to good to throw away etc)
So there it is my little haven where I create!

Inside my Birdie Mini.

Here is the finished Birdie mini, starting from the back! There is a flap at the top of the last page where journaling is hidden. The die cut bird is on an acetate flap,
there is room to journal on the back of the black tag, this is attached with a clip, this has lace and a charm on it and behind the flap at the top of the other page there is a photo,
the large tag in the pocket has photos and room for more journaling, the cage is TH with distress embossing powders on and is held on by a clip which has lace and charms on it,
long tag has photos on back and room to journal, the other page is a large flap with photos under it,
more flaps and tags as before, attached with a clip with ribbon and charms on it,
and again,
this is the first page inside the mini, room for journaling under black tag, large tag has a book page on it and slips into a pocket.
The front cover has book page, hand made scruffy flower, tag with Prima bird, lace, dictionary word and mica on it, it is attached with a clip.
I had lots of fun making this mini and adding the photos of the birds in our garden and journaling about them!

Just a little of what I have been doing!

Last week while my Grandsons were playing in the garden I sat in my conservatory and doodled this birdie.
Later I painted him with Aquatones and added the saying and boarders.
This is a 'naked' folder which I covered, added some Graphic 45 paper and lots of die cuts and a bit of bling! It now holds my thin dies.
This mini was my first 'from scratch' mini made from black card (250gsm) and covered in 7 Gypsies paper from the Conservatory collection, lots of fussy cutting, die cuts and lots of 'bits'. This is for the photos we took of the baby birds 'playing' in the dirt in our garden, they were so cute!
This is my pencil/crayon/pen tote that is down stairs by my laptop and a bag of multi medium art sketch books which get used every day!
It is so nice to have my lappy working again! Thank you my first born computer wizz man (was gonna call him a kid but he ain't!)
