Memory Brooch

I made this brooch in memory of my beautiful Mum who passed away 2 years ago today.
The background is a piece of patterned paper from Crafty Individuals which I stamped some small flowers on. The photo is the only piture I have of my Mum, Dad and me together, (I was only 10 months old) it was a very long time ago.
The booch is from K&co and the dangle on the end is a find from an antique shop.

Love You Mum. XXX

This weeks Sunday Challenge.

This is my tag for this weeks Sunday challenge over on UK Stampers. I was inspired by song titles and diamond stamps.
The background is a mixture of 2 diamond background stamps one is stamped in versa mark and the embossed with a glue embossing powder from Judikins, then covered in silver leaf. and the plainer diamonds are stamped in black archival ink.
The 'D' is from Maya Road, 'iamonds' are stamped and the other words are printed. Two white brads and 3 'diamonds' were added for a little 'bling'.

Tags all finished at last!

Had a bit of an accident on Sunday while chopping up some mint for mint sauce, I missed the mint and sliced down my nail taking at least a quarter of it clean off! not a pretty sight and really painful too! ( my left index finger too and I write with my left hand but I'm ambidextros with most things). So I haven't been able to do a lot for the last few days (although I did have to finish off the Sunday roast! My hubby does not do cooking at all!) Still very painful but there are always ways round doing things!

At last I have finished ALL my tags for the Sunday challenge over on UK Stampers (even managed to do this weeks too)! So here they are in no particular order.

Sunday Challenge No 32

This is my entry for the Sunday Challenge over on UK Stampers.
All the images were stamped in black archival ink, the large ones were masked before the 'background' ones were stamped.
I used water colours to enhance some of the stamps.
The word is stamped in black chalk ink.

March Swap

A Playing card swap was hosted by Hazel on UK Stampers last month and this is mine.
'The Queen of Hearts' on the background of the card I applied gesso with an old credit card taking care not to go over the Q's and hearts at the corners, I masked the large heart at the top with a heart cut out of the top of a sticky note. stamped a background stamp over the top when dry. The photo is from a cd of vintage photo's cut out and applied to the card with glue. The 'roses' in the basket I made into hearts with a red glittery pen and applied glossy accents over the top. Then I added a shrink plastic crown in gold and added red 'jewels' in the same way as I did the hearts.

March Inchie Swap

The Inchie Swap for this month on UK Stampers hosted by Sid was Vintage. These are mine (sorry about the dreadful photo, had some really dull days and couldn't get a good image at all!)
Each inchies has been stamped with a background stamp, coloured with distress inks and over stamped with black Archival ink and had a word added onto shrink plastic.

This is the tag I made for the flowers I took to the cemetry for my lovely Mum on Mothers Day. She is only about 17 in this photo and it is my favourite picture of her. I mss you so much Mum!
